Weight Loss Equipment for the Home

SHARE

Not everyone really loves the idea of working out in a gym as they feel overwhelmed with the number of people pumping iron and sometimes even get confused which gym equipment they should use. Also, the idea of paying for a gym membership isn’t something they are keen on doing hence they prefer to work out in the comforts of their own home.

Although working out at home can help you stay fit, sometimes exercising with equipment can help speed up your chances of reaching your weight loss goal as well as make you more committed to stick to your workout regimen.

Home Equipment for Home

For those who have decided to set up their own gym at home, here are a few examples of weight loss equipment that you might want to invest on.

Dumbbells

Cardio workouts are great when it comes to burning fats but why not up the ante by adding weights to your exercise regimen? Dumbbells come in different weights and styles. You can start with the lighter dumbbells then work your way upwards or simply buy adjustable dumbbells so you can adjust the weights accordingly.

Resistance Bands

This is another type of home equipment that can help you with your weight loss goal as this can work out your muscles thru resistance training. It can work out your entire body and allows you to perform weight training exercises with that extra challenge of pushing against the resistance of the band.

Treadmill

This is probably the most common weight loss equipment that many homeowners purchase because with this machine they can walk, jog, or run without having to leave their home. They can turn up the notch depending on the amount of sweat they want to produce making this the perfect tool to really burn calories.

Kettlebells

Spending money on expensive gym equipment may not be for everyone but if you’re looking for weight loss equipment that can help you work your entire muscles, kettlebells are your best bet. You can actually get to burn 20.2 calories per minute when you work out using this equipment since you need to lift and control the movement of the kettlebells.

Balance or Stability Ball

If you’re aiming to lose weight while at the same time toning and sculpting your muscles, invest on a stability ball. This exercise ball will teach you balance while strengthening your core while adding more challenge to even the simplest bodyweight exercises such as pushups, squats, and presses.

Elliptical Machine

This gym equipment offers the same benefit as treadmills but it doesn’t put a lot of pressure on your legs and feet like treadmill. If you want to burn calories, try running backwards on the machine as this will really challenge your coordination and push your leg muscles to perform the backward run properly.

Investing on any or all of these weight loss equipment for your home use can help you achieve your desired weight without having to go the gym at all. By sticking with your weight loss regimen and using these tools, you’ll be fitter and healthier in no time.
